IM MYTH EXPOSED - An Intelligent and Practical Review

October 13, 2007

By now, you’ve most likely heard the buzz about Russell Brunson’s new “controversial” report about the “Myth” of the internet. This report is a must read and let me tell you why (and it is not because we are RB groupies). First of all, it corrects a misconception that many of us shared when we began to recognize the vast, then-uncharted opportunities represented by the internet. Many of us were galvanized by the prospects of “making millions overnight” and then mystified by an overload of tactics and to dos, so that we experienced “paralysis by analysis.” But the truth of the matter is that a large percentage of us were and are afraid to try new things and to fail. So we stand at the sidelines. Well, Russell Brunson is our quarterback, calling out plays and it is time to get off the bench.

Now that we are on the field, looking around, afraid to be trampled or left behind, there comes a simple, easy to understand message: The internet is not a business. After dropping this bomb, Russell presents a progression of simple concepts from which we can derive basic action steps that build on each other. For this, we are grateful for Russell’s leadership.

(I would like to digress briefly at this point to respond to detractors who have been “debunking” Russell Brunson, that the info he’s giving is not new, but has been around since the beginning of time, etc. Well so has the Bible, but that doesn’t mean it is not revolutionary. It is easier to tear down than create. Plus, we’ve met Russel and are personally grateful for his leading by example. And we all want to prosper, don’t we? And in the “new economy” isn’t there enough opportunity for everyone?).

Okay, back to the review. If I were a sensational headline artist, I would write an article - and I still might - entitled “The ONE Big Truth that Russell Brunson is not telling you!”

Let that sink in for a minute. Read the report. It covers tactics that work, starting with those that are free or better yet funded by the clients themselves (brilliant), leading up to those that cost money. Russell points out, most business owners stop at this point and many terminate because of fear. Dollars are scarce. Yes, we are to test. But if we don’t know what we are doing when we create our message, then testing is like putting a band-aid on leprosy, it may be part of the remedy, but can’t cure. What’s missing is how to position your sales message so that the dollars you spend on magazines, direct mail, newspaper, radio and TV are not completely and utterly wasted. Putting it positively, “How to position your sales message to guarantee massive ROI, make you a winner, the envy of your competition and silence the nay-sayers and detractors once and for all!”

We can show you how to do that in four words: Emotional Direct Response Marketing.

How to will be part 2! It is always easier to say and actual doing it. I just read a quote 2 days ago, “an ounce of action is worth more a ton of theory.” Yes you reight that we MUST get out of the bench.

Got something to say?
